Diagnostic and Remedial Resources for Primary School Teachers and Therapists

This manual has been used very successfully in remedial settings and primary school classrooms.  It gives an overview of learning disabilities and some background information on the possible causes. It covers perceptual, language, spelling, phonics, reading and mathematical difficulties. It explains Attention Deficit Disorders and how to cope with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorders, socio-emotional difficulties and how parents of the learning-disabled child can be supported. The user-friendly checklists in the appendix help class teachers to pinpoint where a learner is struggling so that he can be referred to the School-Based Support Team, Physician or other Learning Specialists.
