Grade 6 History Term 3 Election Day Role Play Props

My Grade 6’s LOVE to role-play Election Day. I hope yours will too.

The copyright on the original IEC logo limits the use of the logo and therefore the logo is different (South African Schools IEC)

Provided:

• Voting Station sign
• SASIEC Official Identification badges
• SASIEC voting box pages to be pasted on boxes (Designed to fit paper ream boxes)
• Ballot papers: national and provincial x 2 (1 full set, other has 3 spaces open for political parties created in class)
• ID cards x3 versions. I use this opportunity to teach about what an ID number consists of
• Letters of alphabet for voters to know which line to join

You will need:

• Paper ream boxes
• Marker to mimic thumb mark
• Class lists for ‘Voter roll’
