This one-page table is designed to be printed (in colour, ideally) and issued to your learners. Then remind them, at least once each week, to track the passing term. While doing this, check on any additions to the birthday calendar, and discuss what may go into the three history timelines. Events that need to be recorded don’t occur every week; but don’t be deterred by this. The discussion still has value, as learners are made aware of the concepts of past, present, and future. (This awareness cannot be taught.) And learners who appreciate how time is packaged, are likely to manage their own learning.
