Resource Description

This set of posters aims to create more thoughtful students through engaging and fun strategies. Each strategy helps the children to think critically and creatively to make them more capable and prepared for the 21st century world.

The posters are designed on A3 paper, but can be printed to fit any size paper.

The strategies included:

I see, I think, I wonder – students make careful observations and thoughtful interpretations.

Two stars and a wish – students reflect on and evaluate their work and set goals.

Think, puzzle, explore – students generate ideas and solve problems.

Chalk talk – students are encouraged to engage and have an equal say.

I used to think, but now I think – students develop their reasoning skills and recognize cause and effect relationships.

Tug of war – students learn reasoning and argumentative skills.

Step inside – students think creatively and become aware of different points of views.

Thumbs up / to the side / down – students reflect on their understanding and evaluate their progress.

Give one, get one – students deepen their understanding through peer coaching.

Compass points – students analyze and evaluate information from multiple perspectives.
