Mental Maths 10 Week Program (Set 1)

A solid mathematical foundation is necessary for understanding and mastering mathematical concepts. In grade 4, the learners should have the FOUNDATION already, however – so many times learners do NOT know they basic calculations and times tables off by heart.

The programme is created to GO BACK TO BASICS. Everyday, learners needs to complete 20 mental math calculations, and 40 sums on a Friday (In one week they practice 120 sums). The programme start off with easy and basic calculations (addition and subtraction, and later on multiplication and division).

There is a COLOURING chart as well where you can tract progress and identify specific needs.

This resource is specifically recommended for Grade 4, Term 1 – to get the basics right. However, this programme can be USED at any time for intervention where learners struggle with their basic mental maths. It is important that learners should be able to achieve to complete this programme with minimal errors, if learners still have too many errors, print out another set and let them do this again.

Grade 3 CAN also use this for ENRICHMENT for their learners that needs some extra work to keep them productively busy.
