Ecosystem Poster Project

Purpose of the Project:

Investigate and understand a specific ecosystem using pictures and giving brief descriptions of the animals, plants, environmental features, and rainfall.

Step 1: Choose an Ecosystem

Choose one of the following ecosystems:

• River
• Grasslands
• Forest
• Desert
• Sea area

Step 2: Gather Information

Collect images from magazines, newspapers, or the internet related to your chosen ecosystem. Remember to include a variety of animals, plants, and landscapes.

Step 3: Make Poster

Make a poster by pasting the pictures and giving brief descriptions about the following aspects of the chosen ecosystem:

1. The animals that live there:
   • Name at least 5 animal species and give a brief description of each one.
2. The plants that grow there:
   • Identify at least 5 plant species and give a brief description of each one.
3. What it looks like there:
   • Describe the general appearance of the ecosystem. Insert images to enhance the visual impact.
4. The amount of rainfall:
   • Provide information on the average amount of rainfall per year in the chosen ecosystem.

Step 4: Oral report

• Each learner must give a short oral report on one of the animal species in their chosen ecosystem. It can be about the life cycle, diet, and adaptations of the animal species.
