This bundle includes experimental worksheets that guide students through the basic process of painting with spices and using nature as painting and stamping tools.

The following watercolor spice paint includes:

➢ Cocoa
➢ Coffee
➢ Turmeric
➢ Nutmeg
➢ Tea

➢ Cayenne Pepper

Each worksheet includes an experimental block, two value scales, and an area where the student will be required to paint the image of the spice plant using their spice paint.

FOR BEST RESULTS – It may be necessary to add hot or boiling water to the spices. Print this worksheet in an A3 or larger format to provide a larger experimental space. A thicker paper, painting paper, or cardboard assists in the prevention of warping and tearing of the surface.

You can also use the following spices, should you wish to further explore other options: Cinnamon, use a variety of teas for different color shades, paprika, curry powder, allspice, beet powder, parsley, rosemary, black pepper.

The nature tool worksheet includes experimenting with sticks, leaves, flowers, and grass elements. Once these nature items are dipped in acrylic paint, they can be used as drawing tools, painting tools, and stamps.
