Aan die einde van die les behoort leerder:
• Te verstaan hoe die strategie vir huishoudelike toerismegroei gebruik word as ‘n middel of meganisme om die fokus te bevorder om plaaslike Suid-Afrikaners aan te moedig om binne die grense van hul eie land te reis.
• Die gevolgtrekking te maak dat Plaaslike Toerisme ‘n belangrike bydrae lewer tot die groei van die toerisme ekonomie van Suid-Afrika en ‘n basis vorm vir volhoubare groei en ontwikkeling van toerisme, veral in tye van wêreldwye onsekerhede.

At the end of this lesson learners should be able to:
• Understand how the Domestic Tourism Growth Strategy is used as a vehicle or mechanism to promote the focus of encouraging local South Africans to travel within the borders of their own country.
• Draw the conclusion that Domestic Tourism is an essential financial contributor to the growth of the tourism economy in South Africa and provides a foundation for sustainable tourism growth and development, more especially in times of global uncertainties.
