Resource Description

This resource includes the four main sentences: IMPERATIVE, DECLARATIVE, EXPLANATORY AND EXPLORATORY.

  • Each sentence is explored on a different page.
  • For each type of sentence a description and two examples are provided.
  • The punctuation marks that typically go with the sentence type are identified.

This can be used as a classroom display or it can be printed for learners to put into their books.
