Resource Description

With this behavioral guidance worksheet kids will reflect on actions and come to their own terms and solutions for us childcare to then read and help implement. This worksheet coincides with my DCF behavioral training courses “behavioral guidance and management” and also “challenging behaviors awareness and prevention”. I’ve designed this worksheet not only for the kids to do some self-reflection, and self-regulation but for kids to feel heard and vent all the meanwhile giving us behavioral guidance suggestions they personally think would benefit themselves.

Worksheet benefits are but not limited to

Encourages self-reflection where children have to pause and think about their actions and consequences

Builds problem solving skills when the children identify and brainstorm to narrow down challenges and constructive ways to address them

Promotes emotional awareness when recognizing and expressing in a healthy way

Strengthens communication and encourages open dialog between our children and caregivers, fostering trust and understanding

Teaches responsibility and helps children take more accountability behind certain actions

Develops social skills and supports collaboration, empathy, and teamwork finding positive solutions

Empowers children and gives them an active role in problem-solving, boosting confidence and independent managing challenges

last but not least trauma informed care, may times in this worksheet student will find it a safe opportunity to list what actually triggered this behavior or action helping us further understand the who, why, when and how to prevent.
