Resource Description

Mr L’s resource is a 21-page booklet which includes explanation, exercises, quiz and answers. It also includes an A4 colouful aide memoire on the features of Writing to Discuss. This resource is estimated to last 2 x 1 hour lessons.

This booklet will teach students to explore different perspectives on a issue or topic, then present their arguments for and against then come to a reasoned conclusion, essential in both academic and professional settings.

Mr L’s Non-Fiction Writing to Discuss Study Guide is an ideal tool for teaching Key Stage 3 students about this non-fiction style of writing for the first time, and for Key Stage 4 students revising for their GCSE English Language exam.
