5 Words a Week! Set 10, HF and sight words.

This resource, Set 10, is the final in the series ”5 Words a Week!” and is at a slightly higher level than the first nine sets.

English spelling has rules and patterns, both of which can be learned. Some spellings, however, are tricky and cannot be sounded out (non-phonetic). These words must be memorised so that they can be identified by sight.

The 11-page product contains both High-Use and Sight words commonly used during early education. Its approach is multi-sensory: early learners are encouraged to colour the words, trace and craft them, say them out loud and ‘write’ the spellings in the air. The more students ‘play’ with words, the more fluent they become in reading and writing them.
