Farm themed pictograph and bar graph.

These farm themed graphs can be used to help learners in the foundation phase analyze, interpret and organize data.

All the required components of a graph are included in the package.

I made use of a story (as explained on the last page of the document) about a farmer whose animals have escaped from their pens. The animals are then organized into the pictograph (symbolizing the pens). Then the information is analyzed and interpreted into the bar graph. Feedback is then also provided to the “farmer” after the data have been organized.

Additional questions can be set up for the learners to answer in their workbooks, but I integrated language by having them write a letter to the farmer explaining how we organized his animals and the results thereof.
