Resource Description

These jumbo outline numbers 6 – 9 and 0 are suitable for Preschool, Grade R and Grade 1 children that are learning to recognise their numbers.

These numbers may be used in a number of ways:

They are perfect for collage, colouring or painting! Print one copy per child.

Alternatively, stick the numbers onto a window or glass door and let your child trace the numbers onto their own page. They could then colour or paint them.

You could also laminate these numbers. Your child can build the numbers with playdough, using these templates as their guide.

You can lay the numbers out in random order and ask your child to sequence them correctly.

You could also play a memory game: Lay the numbers out in order and say each number as you lay it out. Ask your child to close his/her eyes while you remove one number. Ask your child which number was removed.

If you print two sets of numbers, you can play ‘concentration’. Jumble the numbers up. Lay them upside-down, in two neat rows of 5. Take turns with your child to turn over two cards. If they are the same, you can keep them. If not, turn them back over, and the next person has a turn.
