Resource Description

Are you looking to have some fun with phonics? Why not try this game? It is based on the principle of dominoes, where the players have to match the tiles in their hand to either ends of the tiles that are down already. Your learners can play this game using the tiles with pictures of the “ir” words, saying the words as they look at the pictures on the tiles or they can play it using the tiles with the words on and practise reading these words. They could also play this game with a combination of all the tiles and then they need to match the word to the picture. Please note that this is a two player game when only one set of tiles is being used. Up to four learners can play if the tiles are combined. A page with a brief overview of the rules and a key to the pictures is included. This game should be printed onto card and laminated before the tiles are cut out.
