English First Additional Language (FAL) – Parts of Speech

This document consists of a list of all the parts of speech. It supplies the English and Afrikaans names, its function in a sentence, a clue of  how to identify it, as well as an example of how it is used in a sentence.

The resource is colour coded, in columns and is suitable to be printed on an A4 page, which can then be pasted into a learner’s Language exercise book. Learners can then easily refer back to the resource when completing Parts of Speech exercises.
