It could be better
I spent money hoping to receive a good quality assessment. It was fine that the subheadings were all in Afrikaans, which I could easily change, but the comprehension passage was not at Grade 6 level (it was much lower). Additionally, it had a few errors in tense, as well as, an error in concord. I could not change as it was an image. Disappointed.
I am sorry to hear about the translation that was overlooked - my apologies in this regard. You are welcome to let me know where exactly the tense errors and concord error are in order for me to adjust these and upload the improved test. My apologies for your disappointment. The text length is correct according to the CAPS requirements - I will in future ensure that I maybe use longer sentences and perhaps more difficult words. But I have taken COVID into consideration and the fact that learners have a gap with regards to vocabulary etc. due to the past two years. Many teachers also do not have learners in their classrooms that are English Mother tongue speakers - but for whom English is also their second or third language even though they attend English HL classes at school. I have taken this into consideration when writing my texts.
