This resource has been designed to ease young learners into the relationship between letters and sounds. For pragmatic reasons, some are High-Frequency words while others are tricky sight words (when sound fails us). The approach is multisensory: students are encouraged to colour the word, decorate it, trace and write it and to say it out aloud. ”Say the word, feel the word…”

For contextual purposes, the word is used in a sentence. Depending on their level, students can use the word to write their own sentences.

The repetition reinforces retention and this grows vocabulary and confidence.
